What is the criteria I have to meet for a Loan?

What is the age range for taking a loan out?

You will need to be aged 18 and over.

How much can I borrow?

We provide loans from £350 to £25,000, your chosen clinic or hospital will confirm the cost of your treatment or procedure. 

What will the term of the loan or the APR be?

The relevant options applicable to your chosen hospital or clinic and will be made available for you to consider, before you apply.

Do I need to have a good, clean credit history?

This will certainly make it easier for you to get a Chrysalis loan. All loans are subject to status and Terms and Conditions, if you have concerns over your credit history we would suggest you contact a credit reference agency for more information.

Do I have to be a UK resident to apply for a loan?

To be eligible to apply for a loan, you will need to have been a permanent UK resident for at least the last 3 years.

What if I only work part-time or I am a student?

This is not necessarily a problem as we consider many factors when you apply for a loan, we would recommend a friend or family member apply on your behalf.

Who can apply on my behalf?

An application can be received by a friend or family member. All applicants will be credit checked during the application.

Do I need to be a homeowner?

It is not necessary for you to be a homeowner to apply for a Health Loan.

Can I take a loan out if I’m self-employed?

Yes, you can, the lender may require you to provide proof of income.

What information do I need to provide when applying for finance?

When applying for finance you will need to provide your full name, date of birth, 3 years address history, 3 years employment history, income/expenditure details and bank account information.

Have you had a consultation?

Before applying you will need to have chosen the clinic or hospital that will complete your procedure and have had a consultation with them to ensure you are making an informed decision and understand the true cost of your procedure.

How long does the process take?

With online applications we aim to provide you with a decision instantly. 

Why are some of the fields on the application screen highlighted in red?

This highlights mandatory fields which you must complete before moving onto the next question on the application. 

The system will highlight in green when completed correctly.

I have made a mistake on my application, what do I do now?

If incorrect details have been provided on your application, please contact our application department and they will be able to assist.  This may result in a new application being submitted.

What happens when I am approved?

Do you pay me or the clinic or hospital?

We will not pay you directly. Chrysalis Finance lender will pay your chosen clinic or hospital directly.

 

Do you need my procedure date?

We will need to know the date that your procedure is due to take place, as this will be an indicator for when the funds will be released to your chosen clinic or hospital.

What does esigning mean?

This is an online process which enables the documents to be signed electronically. 

When do we take the first payment?

We will always give you a minimum of 10 days’ written notice of your first payment by sending you an Advance Notice of Set Up of a Direct Debit Instruction which sets out the payment amounts and the collections dates. 

Can I change my payment date?

If you need to change the date, we allocate to you we can do that quickly and easily. Our lender will endeavour to amend the repayment date to more suitable date for you.  You can call them directly to do this.

How do I change my bank details?

You can contact our lender directly to change you details.

How do I change my address details?

You can call our lender directly to change your details.

What if I need to cancel?

All applications have a 14 day cancellation period from the date of activation.  If you wish to cancel and are within the 14 days please contact us or e-mail us on enquiries@chrysalisfinance.com.

How do I know if I have been unsuccessful?

Like many responsible lenders, we take into consideration your personal circumstances, previous account conduct and credit history.  If your application has been unsuccessful, we will be unable to provide the finance on this occasion but may be able to consider a family member or friend.
