Throughout 2021, in the face of the continued challenges presented by the Coronavirus pandemic, dedicated healthcare providers in clinics across the country went above and beyond to deliver oustanding care to their patients. And now, 14 of the very best team members from those clinics are crowned winners in the 2021 Chrysalis FInance Patient Care Awards.

The awards that celebrate outstanding patient care

The Patient Care Awards were launched by Chrysalis Finance in 2020 to recognise outstanding team members from across our 3,000 partnered clinics and to reward them for all their efforts during what turned out to be the most difficult year most of us have ever experienced.

Chief Executive Officer of Chrysalis Finance, William Harris, said:

“We wanted to reward people who had risen to the challenges they faced in that extraordinary year and provided exemplary levels of patient support. The nominations were amazing and often humbling, showing the true dedication of the people who work in this sector.”

Such was the success of the awards that Chrysalis have decided to hold annually. This brings us to the 2021 awards.

And the winners are…

Last year, there were 10 awards. This year, the number has risen to 14, all receiving a voucher and a trophy to display in the clinic. Among the worthy winners are:

Kina of Portmore Dental, a clinic that was in a pilot to test safety protocols and keep den

tal services open early in the pandemic. Kina’s capabilities, work ethic and approach to patient care, back then and throughout the pandemic, have earned her a Patient Care Award in 2021. “Kina brings her ‘A’ game to work every day and leads by example”

Paula of The Dental Health Centre, a Practice Ma

nager who is a team player. She involves and motivates everyone in the clinic, she has introduced an Employee of the Month award to recognise those who go the extra mile for patients, and she has recently qualified as a Mental Health First Aider for the wellbeing of her practice. This is all refl

ected in the quality of healthcare delivered to patients and the success of the clinic. “Paula has been outstanding during these uncertain times and has helped develop a great team though respect for each other.”

Dr. Patel of Platinum Dental Care, who doesn’t know the meaning of the word no, constantly coming in early, working over lunches and staying late to accommodate patients. He gives his email and phone number to patients and follows up with them to see how they are recovering after complicated procedures. In the practice, Dr Ronak brings in treats every day and puts a smile on everyone’s face. “We are honoured to nominate Dr Ronak (Ronnie), the heart and soul of the practice.”
