I visited Circle The Meriden Hospital to remove a hernia cyst which was causing me a lot of discomfort down the right side of my body.
I attended a consultation and knew there would be a fee involved, although this was more than I expected. I was introduced to Chrysalis Finance which offered interest free credit over payment periods of up to 12 months. I am currently building a gym and doing lots of building work in my house which has incurred a lot of extra cost at once. I knew I had to pay one way or another, but this just took the pressure off, so I went ahead with it!
Until this point I had no idea that arranging a payment plan was an option.
I knew the NHS had a waiting list of around 9 months and I couldn’t afford to wait that long. I am on my feet a lot with work and not being able to have the treatment now would have set me back. However, paying in one amount for this unexpected treatment was going to put pressure on my finances. I was faced with either delaying the treatment, which I did not really want to do, or putting a few things on hold to contain costs. However, with access to the payment plan I can carry on with everything as normal.
The process and application for the payment plan only took a couple of minutes, it was so straight forward and easy. You also definitely get what you pay for with private health care as my experience with Circle The Meriden Hospital was great, I got booked in the same day. I had to go back in a few times and every time they were very helpful. Expenditure such as this is worrying with the cost of living, but at least this gives people more options.
Arranging my treatment now with the help of a payment plan has meant the impact on my life has only been temporary and I’m back at work today after 2 weeks recovering. I’m not 100% yet, but I am far better than I was before the operation – and continue to improve!
